For the purposes of the UK GDPR, we act as the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
2. Data We Collect
We only collect data that is genuinely needed to run the Site and respond to your requests.
2.1 Data you provide via the contact form
When you complete the contact form, we collect:
- Your name;
- Your email address;
- The content of the message you send.
The contact form is processed through the third-party service Formspree (see Section 5).
2.2 Server logs
Like almost all websites, our server automatically records standard server logs. These may include your IP address, browser type and version, pages accessed, and the date and time of the visit. This data is used for security, diagnostics, and keeping the Site running.
2.3 Cookies
The Site uses only functional and/or minimal analytics cookies. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. See Section 8 for details.
3. Legal Basis and Purpose of Processing
We process your personal data on the following legal bases under the UK GDPR:
- Consent: when you voluntarily submit a message through the contact form or otherwise contact us, so that we can reply to you.
- Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, and improve the Site and prevent misuse — via server logs and minimal analytics.
We use your data only to respond to enquiries, manage participation in community activities, and maintain the security and performance of the Site. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Third Parties
We share data only as far as necessary with the following trusted service providers:
4.1 Formspree
Contact form submissions are processed by Formspree, which forwards the form content (name, email, and message) to our inbox. Formspree processes this data on our behalf as a data processor.
4.2 WhatsApp
If you choose to contact us via WhatsApp, your communication is processed by WhatsApp under its own privacy policy. We only receive the information you send directly to us.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:
- Contact form messages and emails are kept for as long as needed to respond to your request and maintain a reasonable record of correspondence, after which they are deleted.
- Server logs are retained for a limited period only, for security and diagnostic purposes.
6. Your Rights Under the UK GDPR
Under the UK GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:
